Began playing the guitar in 1970 at the age of 6. First band was High Voltage at the age of 12. Played local restaurants and social gatherings. Band members were Greg Hall, guitar/vocals, Joe Banks guitar/vocals, Kevin Looney Bass guitar, Steve Jones Drums, David Blair and Harold Craft Vocals. We all were just kids, but that was part of what made us fun to watch.
In 1979, myself and fellow guitarist Joe Banks joined and southern rock band by the name of “ROX”. Band members were John “Hugo” Back/lead Vocals, John “Big John” Back/Bass and Vocals, Robert Halcomb/Drums, Greg Hall/Lead and rhythm Guitars, Joe Banks/Lead and rhythm Guitar. In the fall of 1981 we recorded our first record titled, “Cold Blue Steel”.
In 1983 I joined a band by the name of Chariot. This band was headed up by Tim “Bondo” Baker, and included Greg Hall Guitar/Vocals, Raymond Dzierzek Guitar, John Chester Bass/Vocals, Greg Underwood Drums/Vocals, and then later Harold Trent took on the roll of the Drums.
In about 1989, hooked back up with Raymond and John, and added the percussion attack of Barry Miles, and later the keyboards of Tim Cody, to form the band NuthinFancy. This band played and toured for about 9 years.
In December of 2005 got a phone call from John Chester wanting me to come up and hear the guys he was playing with at the time. The name of there band was MIDLIFE CRISIS. This band included Chuck Bradley Vocals/Guitar, Tim Engle Drums, John Chester Bass, and Dave Grigsby Guitar/Vocals. I went up and jammed around a bit, and come to find out, they were looking to add a Guitarist. I eased into the position, have been with them ever since. Late in 2006 Dave had to leave the band due to health issues, and we picked up our ole friend Tim Cody on the keyboards. This is the current line up for MIDLIFE CRISIS. We play Festivals, fund raisers, and anything we can get that is NOT a night club. The band agreed as a whole, that none of us wanted to go back on the club circuit. And we are all rockin happily ever after…………
